What is a roll off dumpster?
A roll off dumpster is typically a rectangular container with an open top. It has wheels to help move the dumpster into place. The container is transported on and off site by special roll off trucks. Therefore, it is much more versatile and easy to use than a regular dumpster. Roll off dumpsters can be rented from your local waste management company and serve as the perfect solution for your bulk trash pickup needs.
Under what circumstances would I use a roll off dumpster?
This type of trash container is typically used for large household cleanup and junk/trash removal, remodeling/construction debris and cleanout, roofing and driveway replacements and large yard clean up projects.
How do I know what size I need?
Roll off dumpster sizes range from 6 feet wide x 54 inches tall x 6 feet long (holding 6 yards of debris) to 8 feet wide x 6 feet tall x 19 feet long (holding 30 yards of debris). The staff at Automated Waste Services can help you determine the appropriate roll off dumpster size you need for your job.
What are the prices for a roll off dumpster?
Pricing is determined by the area in which the dumpster will be serviced and the size dumpster needed. Please contact Automated Waste Services for an exact quote.
Where can I have the roll off dumpster placed on my property?
Most roll off dumpsters can be placed on hard level surfaces such as gravel, concrete and asphalt. The box may be placed on hard dirt but keep in mind that it can get stuck after a heavy or long steady rain.
What cannot be put in a roll off dumpster?
As a general rule, chemicals, including paint and petroleum products will not be accepted. Tires and electronics are also not permitted. Please check with our staff for other items that are not allowed or read this blog about 8 Things You Can’t Put In a Rental Dumpster.
Are there any concerns I should have about renting a roll off dumpster?
Roll off dumpsters have metal wheels, which can damage the surface on which they are placed. You will need to be thoughtful about where you want it placed. If damage to your surface area is a concern, you might want to use a protective board, such as plywood to protect it from scratches and scrapes.
